Conditional logic lets you build smart, branching surveys.

How it works

Each question has a Logic section where you can set:

Show this question if [previous question] [operator] [value]

Operators available: equals, not equals, contains, not contains, >=, <=.

Example

Imagine a customer feedback form:

  1. "How happy are you with our service?" (rating 1–10)
  2. "What could we improve?" (long text) — show if Q1 ≤ 6
  3. "Would you recommend us to a friend?" (true / false) — show if Q1 ≥ 7

This way unhappy customers explain themselves while happy ones get an NPS-style follow-up.

Tips

  • Logic respects the question order — you can only reference questions above the one with the rule.
  • For multi-choice questions, use contains to check if a specific option was picked.
  • Test your logic in Preview before publishing.
