Form Wizard auto-detects the right scoring methodology for every rating question based on its scale.

Try the scales

Click any scale below to see how the same rating question looks on a published form, and which scoring methodology it triggers.

Methodology: NPS — % Promoters (9–10) minus % Detractors (0–6).

Scoring methods

| Scale | Methodology | What it shows | |-------|-------------|---------------| | 1–10 (0–10) | NPS | % Promoters minus % Detractors | | 1–5 | CSAT | % who picked 4 or 5 | | 1–7 | Top-box | % who picked top 1 or 2 | | Other | Average rating | Mean score |

For deeper dives into each methodology, see NPS methodology explained and CSAT methodology explained.

Where to find it

  • A summary card appears on the Overview tab
  • A dedicated Smart scoring tab opens if your form has rating questions
  • Each scored question gets a mini-chart on the Question report tab

Multiple scoring questions

If your form has more than one rating question, you'll see a banner letting you switch between them or view all side-by-side.

Disabling scoring

You can turn off smart scoring per question in the form builder if you want it treated as a plain numeric field.
